January 20, 2020

Welcome in 2020, with the first new instrumental jam of the year, "Rose Garden", played on a beautiful Enya X3 Carbon Fiber Acoustic Guitar! This stunning looking carbon fiber guitar sounds brilliant with rich high and middle tones. today was the first day I had a chance in the new studio to play and try it out. I am really enjoying the smooth hand play, and richness of the sound. The link above is to check it out on Amazon! That 95% carbon fiber top is going to catch a lot of eyes and ears. The gig bag is beautiful as well and this is going to be a great weekend travel guitar. Thanks Enya, for letting me try it out.

Also, this year's focus will be on quality over quantity - so expect one song per month, and to be of higher grade and stature for focus, investment, and processing behind it. This is going to be a big year for Danny Hauger music. it already has been thanks to a great first gig at Paupaiz Fine Coffee in Napa, CA. You can watch a video of that performance on my Danny Hauger YouTube Channel

Lastly, support my music through my newest album, All At Once, on digital platforms everywhere, thanks everyone!!

“If I Should Ever Run Away” Music and Lyrics by Danny Hauger

Ball and chain,

Job and anchor

Hide away,

You've got expectations.

Solemnly swear to always be solemn

Suddenly,

I look, but I can't see out the window

And if I should ever run away (I'd come running back to you)

(you'll stay here, won't you?)

and if I should ever run away,

You would always lead me back

You follow me,

Like the rain follows gravity,

I pull you down,

You try to take me under.

This cycle flows,

I'm enriched but carried away

I'm flooded out,

The drip of life is overtaking.

While I am still in the final mixing and tracking process for a few select tracks for January's "All At Once" album, I did find a couple of hours to spend on a  new track, and I am definitively calling it the last track on the album, capping off my best year of songwriting yet. Thanks to all the people who have shared, downloaded, and enjoyed Danny Hauger music this year! Thanks to Zager Guitars and Podbean for showing support for the free music project that I pioneer here, and here is the final demo, looking forward to the final mastering process in the next 3 weeks!

“I Dont Want to Go” Lyrics by Danny Hauger

Why does a gust of wind change the surf to none?

Where could a sunken soul turn when tides have run?

Track me down,

I’m not too far gone.

Don't get depressed in the darkness

I'll be here in the dawn.

I don’t want to go.

Willows wept and some have fallen down

But every sight we see is shared.

You pushed farther than I ever thought I’d go.

I’m evolved from the lower tier.

I don’t want to go.

In time I think I’ll find a little piece of myself Fine.

I can rise above this difficult time.

In short I realize that everything that I have done

Is imperfect and thats ok.

I don’t want to go.

This is the album version of "All At Once". It is 98% complete. I have taken more time to compose tracks, but never so many recording hours, and I hope that effort and investment is reflected in this mix. This album is going to be a culmination of my styles, practice, influence, and experimentation so far. Please join me in supporting my music, sharing, and downloading my free songs each week! Thank you to Laurie Crockett for contributing piano that will be used in the final mix, and my friend Matthew, for contributing some feedback that I will also use to re-work the mix. Still some forks in the vocal road that I will be mending. Enjoy the demo. This is probably the most individual hours invested in a mix to date, and in process, in time, i think the song can reach its potential.

"All At Once" Lyrics

Surround me with all soft things.

So that I may be protected.

Align me, to gold and seed.

Through keys that bring me room.

Declare me, to be the king.

And end this ring,

Of trial and tribulation.

Uncertainty,

Anxiety is killing my potential

Chorus - f-c-g

I'll be the one to comfort you,

When it comes all at once.

I'll slow the wind and calm the seas,

And bring you your lunch.

Normally, I take relief,

Knowing no feeling is forever.

But if I can't make today what I think it should be

Who'll be the one who's going to pass me up.

I'll be the one to comfort you,

When it comes all at once.

I'll mend the string and live for now

In this moment.

The second demo on my brand new Zager Acoustic guitar is "Crest". I just don't want to put this guitar down!! The Zager ZAD80 guitar is made in Lincoln, Nebraska and features a Western Red Cedar top and a Solid Rosewood back and sides. I was looking for a cutaway acoustic-electric guitar for recording lead guitar riffs and had been reading the Zager guitars newsletter for quite a while. I paid for this guitar and am offering this review without incentive. This is a guitar designed for easy playing, and ever angle of the body is geared towards fast playing. The finish is a beautiful gloss, the abalone is gorgeous in low or standard lighting, and the Fishman pre-amp system is second to none. Enjoy a demo and review this Zager Acoustic-Electric guitar and a demo of my song, "When I'm Older". Watch the review of the guitar here on YouTube.

The Enya Nova Concert Ukulele is a brilliant addition to your instrument line-up. It is acoustic-electric, carbon fiber, lightweight, and packs a punch of vibrant sound. Take a listen to a brand new song demo, and enjoy a review at the end of the song. Enya donated this ukulele for my review. The finished version of this song will be on the 2020 album, "All At Once" available early January 2020!

After the song I unbox and review the Enya (Enya-music.com) Nova Carbon Fiber Ukulele, but I lead off with a brand new first mix of the song, "Here With Me" Affiliate link - benefits this channel -https://amzn.to/2K6a1d1 “Here With Me (Carbon Fiber)” Words and Music by Danny Hauger Key of C 104 BPM Resin, carbon fiber. Solitary constructions. In this factory I build a life worth living. In retrograde you destroy all I’ve built. When you see the life I’m living, You know that I don’t measure up to your standards. Carry me, I’ll sing you a song. From hardened chords and melody, I offer you all I’ve got to give. Re-map the schematics. Measure twice, and cut me from my mold. Replace me, with 3-d printed structures. That fit the type you always wanted to have and hold. Tools are deceptive, Just when you think you’ve got a handle, You drive the hammer right onto your thumb. You limber up, and bend before you breakdown, You need a hand that lifts you from the toil, and sets you free. Now you’re here with me, Everything that I imagined. Now you’re here with me, And everything is finally happening for me. Music in this channel is written, recorded, and produced by Danny Hauger. Surround me with all soft things.

Take care of me in times to come (if I'm. Not so lucky)

Thus rabbits foot is too old to jump (and I can't scurry off)

My problems all catching up with me (, if I'm not strong enough)

I've got so much to explain (and I'm not starting well)

Bb - F - Dm - C

I’m not one to judge,

But I feel like I’ve been convicted.

I am not one who I want to be quite yet,

But I feel less and less Conflicted. I do.

Everywhere I use to go,

people question me with why and how.

Do you ever ask a pelican why it flies?

Do you ask a mayfly why it dies so fast.

I feel like liquid,

And I will flow right through

Cause I recovered from sickness.

By only seeking the truth.

I’m becoming ubiquitous,

You could find me anywhere,

And I’ll speak like this.

I’m not the one,

The one who has got all the answers.

That doesn’t mean I don’t try

To do a little research, and contribute a few pages now.

I feel like liquid,

And I will flow right through

Cause I recovered from sickness.

By only seeking the truth.

I’m becoming ubiquitous,

You could find me anywhere,

And I’ll speak like this.

The unmastered first demo of "Without You I Wouldn't Know" will be the last time you hear this mix, the album version will be mixed by Aaron Eastwood! A throwback collaboration to the days of Titan Radio. I like the energy and tablespoon of angst in this new demo. Enjoy and share.

Coincidence has routed my confidence again.

Insecurity has locked me up and thrown away the key.

Did you see at me at 17 I was all the rage.

Green day and Jimmy whispering me to yell it away.

Navigating potential,

Differences Consequential.

If I'd ever go, I'd have to go without you (without you I wouldn't know)

Who'll walk with me, if I walked without you? (without you I couldn't show)

If I’d ever go alone, I wouldn’t know without you (without you I wouldn't know)

And who’ll walk with me down the streets to my future? (without you I wouldn't know)

Happenstance has happened and I am knocked down again,

I thought I'd risen back, from guarding all the jabs you threw at me.

Step out of the ring, and drama you would bring, I'm on my way.

Bus us in the road, we set the course for home, but where is mine?

“Potential” words and music by Danny Hauger (free demo download)

How can you pinpoint what one man can be?

Everyone could use more opportunity.

Measure me by my potential,

Consider evidence circumstantial.

Like a river flowing so cold,

Each passing hour makes me older.

Like elevation dropping lower,

My living current takes me further, away from you.

Dividing sum gains makes us far from strong.

Our ancestors are wondering how we could have gone so wrong.
