"Where are You Now?" by Danny Hauger, written, produced and recorded by on Friday, April 28th. Vocals recorded with a Shure MV5 USB microphone. I am getting the best music vicals ever with this microphone! The monitoring is spot on. This song combines some surf guitar, slide guitar accents, strings, bass, and reverb laden guitar to create a large sounding jam with a catchy chorus. I love the high accenting "Where are you now" harmonies which are some of the most enjoyable lines I have recorded this year. Mr. Hauger’s Five Keys to Winning Debate
You LOSE if
You WIN if
- You don’t listen
- You get angry
- You get ugly
- You get off track
- You’re unorganized
- You listen AND cite faults
- You keep your cool
- You stay respectful
- You stay focused
- You sign-post
Move from left (losing) to right (winning) by following the 5 keys!
- Listening critically (not just waiting to speak) will give you fuel to respond effectively.
- Staying composed displays your logical strength better than the volume of your voice.
- Respectful people are viewed favorably by judges and the audience. Stay cool!
- When you’re focused, you won’t be distracted by shiny distractions. Stay on topic.
- Point out and order the opposition’s arguments, then take them down point by point.

Watch my practice video on YouTube recording this song uncut! A Saturday acoustic recording session with my Taylor acoustic . Produced this open G recording. I used a Shure AV5 USB microphone with my unplugged taylor guitar. using 3 or 4 chords and only 1 recording take, i really liked the way the session turned out. Its a relaxing and reflective instrumental guitar song that I hope you will enjoy!

Unlike most of the "Relaxing Guitars" playlist, this one is led by electric piano. The electric piano rhythm, strings, and electric alternating rhythm and solo give a groove and relaxing instrumental twist on my usual sessions. I hope you enjoy listening to it.

"Mist" is today's newly recorded instrumental guitar song from Danny Hauger recording studios. It was neat to leave the bass guitar and acoustic guitar out of this session and instead use three synth tracks on the keys to layer some pad and bass tones. I like the outcome and its yet another example of a different sounding outcome from my recording sessions. I am hearing more diversity in 2017 recording than any other year, and its been a pleasure to write and record!
